  1. The Vanilla Bean Cafe

    • The Vanilla Bean Cafe serves home-style breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees in a restored, early 19th-century barn. Sit indoors or out and enjoy a meal while you listen to live entertainment such as folk or bluegrass acts. This family-owned restaurant serves homemade soups, sandwiches, and light dinners such as eggs Benedict, roast turkey and avocado sandwich, quiche and award-winning chili. You can also create your own sandwich and a kid's menu is available. The Vanilla Bean Cafe is open daily.

    Fireside Tavern

    • Fireside Tavern at Sharpe Hill Vineyard offers gourmet dining for lunch and dinner as well as wine tastings. The restaurant's barn setting has a cozy, country feel with indoor and outdoor dining. Although the menu may change, the sample menu has entrees such as spicy Jamaican chicken, filet mignon, lamb chops and Creole shrimp. A reservation is required.

    Harvest Restaurant

    • Experience fine country dining for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch in Harvest Restaurant, located at the historic Lemuel Grosvenor House. The restaurant has a country charm with fresh flowers and a wall of windows; candlelight and soft music charm in the evening. The specialties include crisp roast duckling, pan-seared Atlantic salmon, grilled scallop bruschetta or shaved pork loin. Private functions may be accommodated. Harvest Restaurant is closed on Mondays.

    The Inn At Woodstock Hill

    • The Inn At Woodstock Hill is about 10 minutes from Pomfret and is located in historic Plaine Hill in Woodstock, Connecticut. This fine country-dining restaurant serves lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch using seasonal, local ingredients. Some of the entrees are New Zealand rack of lamb, grilled duck breasts, grilled veal medallion and boneless stuffed trout, in a setting with candlelight, fine linens and polished silver. Private functions may be accommodated. Lunch is served from April through November from Thursday to Saturday and dinner is served from Monday to Saturday.
