Most of the nudist resorts in and near Maryland are about two hours west of the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore metropolitan area. A single naturist club serves the eastern part of the state. Always call ahead for a reservation at a resort, leave the camera at home and bring a towel to sit on -- it’s standard naturist etiquette.

Maryland Health Society
Established in 1934, the Maryland Health Society is a small, private club that allows day visitors who make reservations. Located near Davidsonville, about 10 miles southwest of Annapolis, the club doesn’t have fancy amenities like a restaurant or accommodations, but does have an outdoor pool. Weekend activities such as fish fries, holiday cookouts and dinner dances are scheduled throughout the year. If you’re a local, the club accepts new members who are willing to pay dues and pitch in to keep the grounds in shape.
