The Yale University School of Art is part of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Those applying to the Yale University School of Art must have a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or a diploma from a four-year art school. This art school offers degrees in graphic design, printmaking, painting, photography and sculpture. Each of this fields is its own department that features its own faculty. All students of the Yale University School of Art will have access to the university's facilities which include the digital technology office, photography lab, the Ralph Mayer Learning Center, print shop and the Yale University Art Gallery.
Paier College of Art

The Paier College of Art is in Hamden and is accredited by the Connecticut Board of Governors of Higher Education. This college offers degrees in graphic design, fine arts, photography, interior design and illustration. The school has more than 60 faculty members whose aim is to provide students with the necessary education to have a successful career in the world of art. All students of the Paier College of Art must take a group of fundamental courses during their first year, which is referred to as the Foundation Year. After the first year students begin to focus more directly on their field of interest.

The Lyme Academy of Art is in Old Lyme and is a four-year school. This school currently has 85 students enrolled and offers bachelor's degrees in drawing, illustration, painting and sculpting. The campus is equipped with state of the art studios, classrooms and exhibition spaces. The Krieble Library on campus provides students with an academic and creative center where they can get their work down and receive advice from outside of the classroom. As part of the curriculum, Lyme Academy of Art brings in internationally known artists each semester to lecture and advise students.
Creative Arts Workshop

The Creative Arts Workshop is in New Haven and is a nonprofit center for art education. The Creative Arts Workshop offers over 300 classes available to all who wish to participate. Over 3,000 people enroll in the classes offered by the Creative Arts Workshop each year. The school has more than 55 faculty members and has classes in book arts, decorative arts, drawing and painting, fiber, jewelry, photography, printmaking and sculpting. Workshops for advanced students and professionals are also available.
