Cities in the Okanagan host celebrations and art festivals throughout the year. Although there are plenty of wine festivals, art lovers can enjoy music, craft, film and theater festivals, as well as walking through a vineyard.

Kelowna Kiwanis Music Festival

Kelowna Kiwanis Music Festival is a celebration of choir, voice, piano and other musical talent held in April in Kelowna, British Columbia. Amateur artists from the Okanagan region perform hundreds of shows demonstrating their talents in bass, drums, strings, and speech. Competitors range in age from 10 to 16, although some youngsters as young as 3 are known to take the stage.
Okanagan Film Festival

The Okanagan Film Festival Society hosts an international film festival every August. The festival began in 1998 to promote the Canadian and international film industry through screening, workshops and competitions. You will need to pay a one-time $2 membership fee to the society to purchase tickets to the films. VIP passes can also be bought which allow access to all screenings, workshops and after parties.

Creative Chaos Arts Show and Festival

Creative Chaos, the largest arts and craft show in western Canada, takes place in June in Vernon, which is right inside the Okanagan. Over 200 artists and crafters showcase their talent and work. Visitors can enjoy three buildings full of vendors, performing-art shows, activities and yummy food fair. Creative Chaos has been celebrated since 1971 and upholds the tradition of letting the visitors judge and choose the winners of the arts competition.
Tinhorn Creek Concert Series

The Tinhorn Creek Concert Series is an outdoor music series held from May to August. Tinhorn is one of the Okanagan's vineyards, and the music is performed in the vineyard's own amphitheater. The concert series consists of four events. You can buy individual tickets for $35 or a season pass for $100. Guests can enjoy warm summer nights, cool music and a smooth glass of wine.
