Creative Ideas for a Marriage Proposal
Getting married is a special event in a person's life, and the proposal should be just as special. There are many different ways to ask your special someone to be yours forever; deciding how depends on a few key factors. Do you want a traditional proposal with the man getting down on one knee and presenting a ring? Or would you prefer an explosive and unexpected proposal? Whichever route you choose, you can still incorporate some creativity.

A Video Slideshow Proposal
-
For a tech savvy man, a video slideshow proposal may be the creative ticket he is looking for. The fiance-to-be should gather 20 to 30 pictures of the couple together, and create the slideshow using a special software program on the computer, such as PowerPoint or iDVD. Add a favorite song to the slideshow to make it more personal. On the very last slide, the gentleman can enter the text, "To be continued, if you'll have me as your husband." He should then present the ring.
Surprise in the Flowers
-
Most girls love to receive flowers from their beaus. Why not surprise her with a bouquet with an added sparkle. The fiance-to-be can purchase a fresh bouquet of his girlfriend's favorite flowers from a local flower shop. He then ties the ring to one of the flower stems, or places it on the petal of the largest flower in the bouquet, where she's sure to see it. He presents her with the flowers and smiles. When she sees the ring, he'll have his answer.

Get a Clue
-
If the fiance-to-be is with someone who loves puzzles, this could be a great way to pop the question. He can make a puzzle for his girl to decipher with her morning coffee. To add more excitement, he can make three or four puzzles that act as clues for her to follow. The final puzzle should provide the placement of the prize, her engagement ring. He can choose to verbalize the proposal, or just wait for her response once she sees the ring.
Picnic
-
A beautiful spring day can offer the perfect atmosphere for a marriage proposal. A picnic in a meadow is the perfect proposal spot for a nature-loving couple. After a quiet picnic lunch, the couple may choose to just sit and enjoy the scenery. This is his chance to ask for her hand in marriage in a quiet and romantic setting.
