UCLA Department of Economics Scholarships

The University of California at Los Angeles Department of Economics Scholarships offer several awards for undergraduates. The Jeffrey W. Baus '59 Scholarship goes to an economics major intending to pursue an accounting career. Applicants for the $5,000 scholarship must submit a 500-word essay on how the scholarship will aid their education and career. Applicants for the $5,000 Patricia and Harry L. Bruce Endowed Scholarship must demonstrate financial need and academic merit. The John J. Peterson Scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior economics major in financial need.
Alumni and Friends of the London School of Economics

The U.S. chapter of the Alumni and Friends of the London School of Economics awards a minimum of one annual scholarship to an American graduate student to attend the school for one year. This scholarship pays for all tuition and fees. Only students not previously enrolled in the LSE may apply, although summer course attendees remain eligible. Recipients are chosen based on both financial need and academic performance.

The College of Business and Economics at Boise State University offers several departmental scholarships. These include the Len B. Jordan and Grace Jordan scholarships for junior or senior economics majors, awarded on the basis of academic achievement and financial need. The Ellis Lamborn Scholarship, also for junior and senior economics majors, requires a 3.0 GPA for eligibility. A student deemed by the faculty most likely to be the "best professional economist" receives the Geetha Raha Scholarship.

The Edward Rondthaler Scholarship goes to the top junior economics major, with the student's name engraved on a plaque along with a monetary award. The Department of Economics Outstanding Student Award goes to a graduating senior deemed worthy of this title by the faculty, and in the 2011 to 2012 academic year was worth $500.
