Named after Union General George Gordon Meade, this rural, farming community is situated 13 miles from the Spokane International Airport and downtown Spokane.     • Just a scant quarter of a mile from the entrance of Mount Spokane State Park on 106 acres of wilderness in Mead, Washington sits the Bear Creek Lodge.
