Aquia Harbour is a community of about 8,000 in Stafford County, Virginia. The community is located on more than 2,000 acres of land, including 400 acres of protected wetland on Aquia Creek. The area around Aquia Harbour is rich in history as the boyhood home of George Washington and a Revolutionary and Civil War site. Aquia Harbour is located 45 miles south of Washington D.C., about 15 miles north of Fredericksburg and seven miles from the military base Quantico. Although Aquia Harbour only has one hotel, a short drive to Stafford yields several lodging options for travelers.
