Hotels in Eldora, Colorado
Eldora, Colorado, is located within the Roosevelt National Forest and is home to 170 residents, according to the 2000 Census. The small community has one hotel and is about 10 minutes from the Eldora Mountain Resort, a ski resort with 53 runs. Visitors to the area can stay at a wide array of accommodation options in Boulder, which is 30 minutes away. Closer to Eldora, loding is also available in the nearby town of Nederland and along the Peak to Peak Highway.

Open year-round, the only accomodation option in Eldora is the Goldminer Hotel. The hotel was established in 1897 and is within 10 minutes of the Eldora Mountain Resort. There are five individually decorated rooms and a complimentary full breakfast is provided daily. The historic building is recognized as a Boulder County Historic Landmark and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. A number of dining options are available at the Eldora Mountain Resort, including The Lodge for fast-food style dishes, and the Indian Peaks Lodge or the Lookout for lighter snacks.

The log-cabin styled Best Western Lodge at Nederland is about 10 minutes east of Eldora. The hotel is in the heart of the scenic mountain town of Nederland, which is just 15 miles west of Boulder. The town is home to several events, including Frozen Dead Guy Days, Miners Day Weekend and the Bluegrass Festival. Guestrooms at the Best Western Lodge feature local artwork, handmade log furniture, refrigerators and high-speed Internet access. Just south of Nederland along the Peak to Peak Highway is the Sundance Lodge. Located less than 10 minutes from Eldora, the hotel is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding landscape. Trailheads are within walking distance for hiking, as well as horseback and all-terrain vehicle rides in the Roosevelt National Forest. Guides at the hotel also organize horseback excursions for guests. The non-smoking property features 12 rooms and the Sundance Cafe, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. In the Nederland visitors can also dine at the Wild Mountain Smokehouse and Brewery, Kathmandu Restaurant and Backcountry Pizza.

Boulder, Colorado, is approximately 20 miles or 40 minutes east of Eldora. With its location at the foot of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Boulder is a popular destination for hiking, mountain climbing, fishing and mountain biking. The town features nearly 30 hotels, motels, inns and lodges and the conveniences of a larger town, including movie theaters and shopping malls. The town also has several dining options, from national fast food chains such as A&W, Burger King, McDonald's and Pizza Hut, to international dining including Italian, Greek, Thai, French, Chinese and Indian.
