The Inn at Solitude
-
Solitude looks like a European village, and the Inn at Solitude enhances this general impression. On its website, the hotel describes itself as a Bavarian lodge. From some rooms, a guest can view impressive mountain scenery. From others, they can gaze upon the charming village architecture. The hotel provides such amenities as a spa, sauna and billiard table. A heated pool right outside the hotel enables guests to enjoy outdoor swimming on cold winter days. The hotel restaurant, appropriately called St. Bernard's, encourages guests to try its fine wines. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available.
Silver Fork Lodge
-
Silver Fork Lodge has an ideal location. It lies a mile from Solitude Mountain Resort and three miles from another skiing resort in Brighton, according to the Silver Fork Lodge website. The Solitude Nordic Center is also close at hand. Even Salt Lake City is within easy driving distance. Silver Fork Lodge, a bed and breakfast hotel, is proud of the sourdough pancakes served at its restaurant. Amenities include a ping-pong table and an outdoor hot tub. The rooms do not have television, but guests have access to a TV lounge. The hotel also has facilities for weddings and other festive occasions. During spring and summer, Silver Fork Lodge offers rooms at considerably reduced rates.

Condos and Homes
-
The village of Solitude has erected condos and homes for the convenience of transient guests. Many are located toward the side of a ski slope. They contain one to five bedrooms. Some can accommodate larger parties of skiers. For example, one luxury home has four bedrooms and can accommodate a party of 18 guests. It also has a guest room, a gourmet kitchen, dining room and a bar with a pool table, as well as four luxurious bathrooms and a two-car garage. While not all homes and condos are so luxurious or so expensive, they all provide comfortable living quarters for transients. Many homes and condos offer discount rates if a guest remains for a whole week or a whole month.
Brighton Lodge
-
If your focus is the Brighton Ski Resort and your interest in Solitude is only secondary, lodging is available at Brighton. The resort contains the Brighton Lodge, which offers "comfortable rustic hotel style accommodation including a continental breakfast," according to the Brighton Ski Resort website. From here, it is a healthy walk to Solitude by way of a trail, aptly called the SolBright Trail, combining the names of the two villages. You may negotiate this trail by snowshoes in winter. In summer, it is one of many scenic trails that visitors may enjoy.
