Key Arena Events in Seattle
For more than 40 years the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington, has played host to a number of events, such as the 1974 NBA All-Star game and concerts from legendary performers like Elvis Presley and The Beatles. More recently, the Key Arena has hosted the Rat City Roller Girls, Seattle University Men's basketball team, concerts, conventions and family-friendly events.

Battlestar Galactica: The Exhibition

Audiences marveled at the television series "Battlestar Galactica" during its premier in 1978 and when the show ran again in 2003. The Science Fiction Museum and Experience Music Project presents "Battlestar Galactica: The Exhibition." The exhibition includes full-sized versions of the Viper Mark 2, Viper Mark 7 and the Cylon Raider. Several costumes from the show will be on display as well as exhibition films and interactive displays. The exhibition opened in 2010 and is slated to continue into 2012.
Rat City Roller Girls

The Rat City Roller Girls provide residents of Seattle with entertainment while maintaining sportsmanship, self-discipline, character and athletic ability. Divided into four teams, The Rat City Roller Girls consist of Derby Liberations Front, Throttle Rockets, Sockit Wenches and Grave Diggers. Through intense training at the Key Arena, the Rat City Roller Girls prepare league participants to compete at the regional through international levels. The roller derby season typically lasts from January to July, and events are scheduled multiple times per week. For specific dates and times, check Resources.

Seattle Invitational

Seventy tons of dirt mixed with 40 of the top bull riders in the world and some of the fiercest bulls adds up to the Seattle Invitational. The Professional Bull Riders Association descends on the Key Arena with this marquee event, which is part of the Built Ford Tough Series. The ten highest scores from round one advance to the second round of the competition. The ten highest cumulative scores advance to the Championship Round. The Seattle Invitational partnered with the Key Arena for the inaugural event in Seattle.
Harlem Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters entertain the world with their wild antics and superior basketball ability. They gave the world the 4-point shot. At 12 feet past regulation NBA 3-pointers, the 4-point shot is 35 feet away from the basket. Anticipate high scores and competitive play from their arch-rival, the Generals. The Harlem Globetrotters use the Key Arena as a stop on their world tours.
