The Algarve in Southern Portugal features a 200-kilometer coastline with some of the best and most beautiful beaches in the world. The region is a popular destination for beach holidays and golfing, as well as for experiencing Portuguese culture. Located in eastern Algarve is Altura, a small community close to Portugal's border with Spain.
