All repairs for the hearing aid will also be covered. Patients under 21 are eligible for eye exams and eye treatment for conditions, such as cataracts. Glasses are also paid for by Medicaid, if necessary. Contacts are covered if determined to be the only means for improving vision. Adults over 21 will also receive eye examinations for vision and conditions.

Louisiana Medicaid pays for home health treatment and care. If deemed necessary, the patient will receive intermittent or part-time nursing services. A physician must approve the treatment. In addition to the aide visits, patients can receive in-home physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech or language therapy.
