Church Welcome Gifts
Bless those who enter your worship facilities with welcome gifts that range from practical to just plain fun. They make a statement about who you are as a church body and show appreciation to those who take the time to visit. In order to help you keep track of visitors, it is a good idea to instruct them to fill out a brief information card before leaving with their gift.

Organizational Gifts
-
Bless your visitors with handy planners they can carry in their purses or brief cases. Supply your visitors with the tools they need to keep up with appointments, dates and events. Calendars, especially those with pictures of your church and congregation, are a welcome addition to a home office or the kitchen. Highlight any church events on it and don't forget to include the church service schedule. A pocket planner with the church information stamped on the back makes a handy accessory that can be carried with the visitors at all times. Include a pen with your logo.
Reading Materials
-
Give your visitors gifts that most closely represent the overall message of your church. Give out copies of a book that represents the message your church is trying to convey. Choose contemporary, relevant titles that speak to what this generation of seekers is facing or searching for today. "Grace, The Power to Change" frees people from the "works" mentality that can leave them walking around feeling constant guilt. "Sex God" will grab the attention of the 20-something crowd with its title but will enlighten them about an intimate relationship with God as they read its contents. Books on missions, love, practical living and blessings can be purchased inexpensively when you buy in bulk.

Videos and Music
-
Record and copy CDs of your church music team and use them as gifts for visitors. Entertain visitors with music CD's of your worship band or other favorite groups. Add a welcome DVD with an abbreviated message that encourages viewers. If the church budget allows, consider a gift card for downloadable music or movies. The latter in particular is a way to impress visitors who won't feel inundated or pressured with evangelical messages. They get to choose music and videos that suit their individual tastes.
Cups and Mugs
-
Guests will appreciate a new cup to hold their favorite brand of coffee. Present your visitors with travel mugs or coffee cups. To the handles, attach packets of cocoa, tea or coffee that are imprinted with your church logo and service times. If you are a church that frowns upon caffeine use or just want to do something out of the ordinary, include a packet of flower seeds that can be started in the cup. This gift makes a lovely addition to a window sill.
