Comparison of the Diaper Genies
The Diaper Genie brand offers two types of diaper disposal systems: the Diaper Genie II and the Diaper Genie II Elite. Both have much to offer parents who are turned off by the smell and disposal of diapers. They vary in design, but offer an easy way to dispose of many diapers in one central, smell-free location. The Diaper Genie disposal system reduces the dread associated with changing and disposing of diapers.

Appearance
-
Both diaper disposal systems are white in color, with a similar tubular pail design. The Diaper Genie II has an airtight system, featuring a Push-N-Lock clamp to keep diaper smells inside the system. It can easily be used with one hand, so you can toss diapers away and hold your baby in the other arm. The Diaper Genie II Elite offers a foot petal that makes throwing diapers away even easier. Because you don't need to bend over, it can be a real back-saver. Additionally, the Elite has antimicrobial protection, which keeps away odor-causing bacteria associated with diapers. In this system, your diapers touch only the film on the refill, not the actual disposal system, so no diaper mess gets left behind on your disposal. The Elite's double-lock design keeps strong odors out.
Cost
-
The Diaper Genie II costs about $30. The Diaper Genie II Elite costs about $40.
