VIP tours of Hawaii can make your vacation even more special.

The most recent addition to the United States, Hawaii consists of eight islands: Hawaii, Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Oahu, Kauai, Niihau and Kaho'olawe. With miles of beaches and a warm climate, Hawaii welcomes thousands of tourists each year. Once you're on the islands, several companies offer VIP tours of Hawaii, allowing you to maximize your time while learning about the area around you. While numerous companies offer these tours, they tend to fall into four types of tours.

  1. Cultural Tours

    • Depending on your interests, Hawaiian companies offer a wide variety of cultural tours. Aloha V.I.P. tours, for example, has many packages from Oahu and Maui to Kauai and the Big Island. Some of its most-popular packages include tours of the Polynesian Cultural Center, a luau package that includes an authentic experience of this Hawaiian specialty, and even airport pick-up complete with lei. Similarly, Kualoa tours offers its own VIP package called the "Royal Experience," which explores Hawaiian and Kualoan culture, from movie backlots to its 800-year-old Hawaiian fishpond.

    Dinner Tours

    • Many different companies offer dinner tours that allow you to dine while enjoying scenic views of Hawaiian landscapes. These include Aloha V.I.P., which begins a tour at Waikiki and shows tourists Diamond Head at sunset while enjoying a meal. Other companies offer tours of different islands or even cocktail cruises where you can enjoy a drink while watching the sunset.

    Historic Tours

    • Home of Pearl Harbor, one of the United States' most historical sites, Hawaii also offers a variety of VIP tours of this destination. Hawaii Tours, for example, offers an eight-hour trip around the various museums and landmarks associated with the "day that will live in infamy." Tour components include the Army barracks, Fort Schafter (where guests eat lunch) and Wheeler Army Airfield. Similarly, Aloha V.I.P, which has been giving tours of Hawaii for 29 years, offers tours of the USS Arizona Memorial, as well as the USS Missouri Battleship.

    Scenic Tours

    • If you have only a short time in Hawaii, you may want to soak in as much of the local landscape and culture as possible while seeing many of the islands' most famous sites. Scenic tours of the islands allow you to do this. While some focus only on one island and are conducted by bus, others (such as cruises) will let you view several different islands and their associated landmarks. Companies mentioned above, including Aloha V.I.P. and Hawaii Tours, offer tours of varying attractions, length and price.
