Hotels in Arab, Alabama

Arab is a small town in northeast Alabama, 10 miles from Guntersville Lake and dam, as well as Guntersville State Park. The town is on top of Brindlee Mountain, which has an elevation of 1,100 feet. Arab provides a variety of outdoor activities and is a gateway to recreation at the lake. A variety of hotels are in the area and serve as a base for exploring northeast Alabama

    • The Jameson Inn is in the heart of Arab and contains 42 rooms on two floors without outside entrances to all rooms. The hotel has an outdoor pool, fitness facility and a business center. It offers free Wi-Fi, cable and satellite TV, as well as a complimentary newspaper and breakfast each morning.

      Rooms have either a single king-sized bed or two queen-sized beds. Premium rooms provide a microwave and refrigerator. Pets are allowed with a $15 deposit per pet.

    Ruth Mountain Bed and Breakfast

    • For something a little out of the way and different, consider Ruth Mountain Bed and Breakfast. It is less than two miles from Arab, but very secluded in the woods. The house is designed to have an Antebellum appearance and boasts six rooms, each with its own theme. There is a third-floor reading room, a pond, walking trails and a flower garden. Its great room features a fireplace and couches for all guests.

      Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning. You may also purchase a cookbook based on food served at the establishment.

    Best Western of Guntersville

    • If you want to stay on the edge of the lake, consider the Best Western of Guntersville. It is six miles from Arab and on the shores of Lake Guntersville. The hotel boasts a full restaurant and bar that overlooks the lake. There is also a pool, a fitness facility and pets are welcome. Also on the grounds are boat launches, piers and a boardwalk.

      Best Western contains 99 rooms and two-thirds of them have a lake view. Rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, cable TV and free Wi-Fi.

    • Arab is near the edge of the 69,000-acre man-made Lake Guntersville. It is also near the dam where the Tennessee River enters the lake. The Huntsville military arsenal is also nearby. The area encompasses the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains that provide plenty of hiking opportunities. Cavers will also enjoy Cathedral Caverns, a major cave system that is situated 20 miles north.

    Fun Fact

    • The town of Arab got its name due to a typographical error when the name of the town was being registered in 1892. It was supposed to be named after a man who lived in the town named Arad.
