Quiet operation of the Olsen MPL 120 is made possible by insulated cabinet walls and a combustion chamber made of ceramic fibers. The unit has an Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency of 80 percent, which is a measure of the actual amount of heat that is pumped into your home via your furnace. This furnace has a temperature rise of 50 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. An automatic fan timer works to retain heat even after the furnace has stopped.

Object Clearance

Combustible objects and materials need to be kept a certain distance away from your Olsen MPL 120 furnace in order to minimize the risk of fire. Regardless of the position your heater is installed in, there must be one inch clearance at the bottom, rear and sides of the unit, 18 inches of clearance for the flue pipe if the unit is installed in the United States and ten inches of clearances for the front of the unit. Twenty-four inches of clearance is required at the front of your furnace for servicing, however. If your furnace is installed in the horizontal position, three inches of clearance must also be given at the top of the furnace.
