Star Crafts Using Wire Ribbon
Wired ribbon is a flexible craft material used in many crafts because the wired edges help hold its shape. From star-shaped Christmas tree garland to a wired ribbon star, use your imagination to create exciting star projects your friends will envy. A quick trip to your local retail and craft store is all you need to get started on a few crafts.

Star-Shaped Christmas Garland
-
Create a star-shaped Christmas garland using brown paper bags, a star-shaped punch or pattern, wired ribbon, needle and thread. Punch star shapes out of the brown paper bags or use a star pattern to cut the shapes. Use the thread and needle to attach the stars together. Go in and out of each star using the needle and thread, leaving about 4 inches in between each star. Find a Christmas-themed wired ribbon that matches your décor and tie a ribbon in between each star on the thread. Tie knots on each end of the garland to finish.
Star Topiaries
-
Use star topiaries for home decor, and make them for each holiday season. You will need star-shaped polystyrene foam, artificial moss, wired ribbon, a small flower-like pot, a piece of polystyrene foam that will fit in the pot, a wood dowel and super glue. Put the piece of foam in the bottom of the pot. Push the wood dowel in the star about 2 inches. Use the wired ribbon to cover the star-shaped foam (place a couple of dots of super glue when wrapping the star to make sure it sticks). Stick the wood dowel in the foam in the pot, and cover the foam with artificial moss. Cover the wood dowel with ribbon for more decoration. For a Christmas topiary, use red and green ribbon. Use pastel colors to create a topiary for Easter.

Paper Star Wreath
-
Make a 3D paper star wreath using wired craft ribbon, paper, a craft wire wreath, a pattern for 3D stars and craft wire or string. Print a pattern to use, and make several 3D stars using any color paper you prefer. Poke a small hole in each one of the stars, and attach them all over the wreath using craft wire or string. Make a large bow using the wired ribbon and place it at the top of the wreath. Use craft wire to hang the wreath in your home. Create holiday-themed paper star wreaths using the corresponding colors of the holiday season.
Wire Ribbon Star Ornament
-
Draw a star pattern on a piece of wood, and hammer a nail into each point of the star. Wrap the craft wire in and out of all of the nails. Do not get the wire too tight, so you can put the ribbon through it and pull it off easily. Interlace the wire ribbon throughout the star before you pull it off the nails. You can also interlace the wire ribbon with the craft ribbon as you are wrapping it around the nails. Tie another piece of craft wire around the top of the star with a loop to make an ornament.
