The Wisconsin TJD is an engine used for commercial and industrial purposes. Wisconsin's heavy-duty internal combustion engines have set the standard for the commercial and industrial engine industry. The engines can be used on forklifts, saws, welders, skid steers and other commercial equipment. The Wisconsin TJD was manufactured from 1968 to 2001.

The standard cylinder bore was 3.25 to 3.49 inches and the crankpin diameter was 1.8764 to 1.8756 inches. The piston skirt to bore had a clearance of .0025 to .003 (Cam Ground). The inlet valve tappet clearance was .008 inches and the exhaust valve tappet clearance was .016 inches. The connecting rod to crankpin had a clearance of .0008 to .0029 inches.

Piston, Ignition and Valve Specs

The piston pin to piston distance was 0 to .0008 inches, while the piston pin to connecting rod distance was .0005 to .001 inches. The breaker point gap for the distributor was .20 inches and .015 inches for the magneto breaker point gap. The spark plug had a gap of .030 inches. The valve face and valve seat had an angle of 45 degrees. The valve stem to guide had a clearance of .003 to .005 inches.

Other Specifications

The crankcase had a capacity of 3.5 qts and the running spark advanced at 20 degrees. The engine was at maximum operation at 3,600 rpm and had a false emissions certification.
