    • As a property manager, you will be in charge of collecting rent every month. You have to be able to collect from every tenant without fail. If a tenant repeatedly avoids paying their rent, you will have to evict them. Most property managers are paid on a percentage of how much gross income the property brings in every month. This means that you will have to collect or you will not be able to bring in a paycheck for the month. Many tenants try everything they can to get out of paying.

    Finding Tenants

    • One of your most important responsibilities as a property manager is to find tenants. If someone moves out of one of your properties, you will have to act quickly to try to find someone else to fill the spot. This means that you will have to get into the property and clean it up quickly to get a fast turnaround. You may even have to do major repairs to get the unit back up to par. Then you will have to advertise the opening and interview potential candidates to fill the unit.
