Nationally, hairstylists average an hourly wage of $13.02. This adds up to an annual salary of $27,070. Hairstylists in the 10th percentile -- in other words, 10 percent of hairstylists make less than this amount -- bring in $8.68 hourly; those in the 25th percentile net $8.79 an hour; and stylists in the 75th percentile nab $15.12 hourly.
