Oregon Arts Grants
Oregon arts grants are available to both individual artists and arts organizations. The leading grant making bodies are the Oregon Arts Commission, a state sponsored body, and the Regional Arts and Culture Council, working in the Portland metropolitan area. Grants are also available from corporate sponsored foundations such as the PGE Foundation, and from regional and private grant making organizations such as the Western Lane Community Foundation and the Wessinger Foundation.

Regional Arts and Culture Council

The Regional Arts and Culture Council (RACC) integrates culture and the arts into the life of the community in the Portland metropolitan area, serving Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties. Funded by a combination of public and private money, the RACC values artistic expression as a basic human right. A variety of grants are available to individual artists and arts organizations, including an individual fellowship grant of $20,000. Oregon Arts Commission

The Oregon Arts Commission (OAC), headquartered in the state capital of Salem, offers grants to individual artists and arts organizations. Grants for artists are available in three categories. Career opportunity grants are in the amount of $300 to $1,500. It gives individual artist fellowships of $3,000. The Oregon Media Arts Fellowship provides grants for production expenses to film and video artists. The OAC also awards grants to art organizations in seven categories. PGE Foundation

The PGE Foundation is the charitable foundation of Portland General Electric. Part of its grant mission is to support access to the arts. Grant recipients include the Children's Healing Art Project (CHAP), bringing art education into Portland children's hospitals. CHAP worked with over 10,000 children and their families in 2009. The PGE Foundation often partners with other organizations, such as the RACC, funding selected projects. Grant application information is available on the PGE Foundation website.
Western Lane Community Foundation

The Western Lane Community Foundation (WLCF) awards grants each year in Western Lane County, in central coastal Oregon. Non-profit arts organizations are eligible to apply for grants ranging from $100 to $20,000. Grant applications are available at the WLCF website.
The Wessinger Foundation
