Niche Marketing Strategies

Niche marketing is a type of promotion that involves focusing in on a very narrow segment of the market. With this type of marketing, a business decides to select a target market and promote their products or services to them. This type of marketing can help you stay away from highly competitive areas and save money on marketing.

    • One of the most popular forms of niche marketing is pay-per-click marketing. With this type of marketing strategy, you work with a search engine such as Google or Yahoo!. You can set up a marketing campaign that is based around related search terms. When someone types in one of your keywords into the search engine, your ad can be displayed on the side of the page. When someone clicks on the ad, you will be charged for the click. With this type of marketing, you can focus in on people who are looking for your products and services. You only pay when someone looks at your website instead of paying for ineffective marketing efforts.

    Magazine Marketing

    • When you have a specific niche market that you are trying to reach, you may want to advertise in places that they pay attention to. For example, one of the most productive ways to advertise for this type of market is to buy ads in a magazine that is related to your niche market. You could even advertise in an online magazine as well. This type of marketing can be highly effective, but it can also get expensive.

    Offer

    • When engaging in niche marketing, the offer that you use is very important. Besides choosing the right place to advertise, you also have to have a compelling offer that will make your prospects want to act. You do not necessarily have to get them to buy right away, but you could capture their information so that you can build a relationship with them over the long term.     • When niche marketing, it is critical to identify the needs of your consumers. For this part of the process, you have to think like the niche market and try to decide what would help them. You can do this by researching information about your target market. You can read what they read, visit the websites they visit and do other things that they do. By connecting to market research, you can often develop products and services that they would need and want.
