Programs Similar to PowerPoint for the PC
If your computer didn't come with Microsoft PowerPoint or you need to add presentation software to all the computers in your office for a low price, know that several alternatives exist to PowerPoint. Mobile access, collaboration and compatibility with PowerPoint are among the features you can expect from these alternatives, most of which are free.
-
OpenOffice Impress
-
OpenOffice is an entire suite of office software, like Microsoft Office. Impress is the presentation creation program that comes with this free software. The interface is similar to that of PowerPoint, and you can add animations, clip art and drawings to your slide shows. Impress has support for multiple monitors as well, and the tools that you use most frequently can be "parked" in the interface for easier access.
Prezi
-
Prezi not only allows you to create presentations on your computer, it also lets you organize meetings and even access slide shows on your mobile devices. Prezi presentations save to cloud storage, of which you have 100MB. You can share those projects online or off, and signup is free. You're able to log in with your Prezi account or Facebook credentials.

Google Slides
-
Google Drive allows for seamless collaboration and quick sharing via social networks or email. The wizard provides backgrounds from you to choose from to create professional-looking slide shows with minimal effort. The guides provide locations for you to add titles and text, while the toolbars in Slides provide options to format text, images and lists. Invite others to view or edit your presentations before you send them off to clients or teachers.
SlideRocket
-
SlideRocket is a notch above some of the options on this list thanks to professional templates, which you can use to create charts, e-books, storyboards, resumes and other slides. After you create your show, show it from your mobile device or share it with SlideRocket. Features include sound animations, polls, blend modes, plugins and Flash support. Color palettes help you to create polished presentations even if you're not the most creative type.
Flair
-
Flair allows you to convert slide shows to Flash video. You can go well beyond basic presentations with tutorials, LMS-compatible quizzes and author demos. Record onscreen activity while you create your presentation, capture video and audio to add to your slide shows, and add Flash text. Flair isn't free, though: the basic version costs $50 per Windows registration.
