Apple Scroll Bar for Vista
Even if you do not like the default theme of Windows Vista, you can change elements from desktop icons to cursors to scroll bars. If you are a fan of these elements on Apple computers, you can download themes for Windows that will make it look like Mac, without changing your operating system.

Apple Scroll Bar
-
On Apple computers, which use the Macintosh operating system, scroll bars have a glassy and rounded appearance. Traditionally, when scroll bars appear on Windows computers, they have a flatterer, more rectangular appearance. The scroll bars on a Mac take their silver, and sometimes blue, color scheme from the silvery desktop theme that is part of the operating system.
Vista Theme Options
-
With the advent of Windows Vista, Microsoft included a new theme, Aero. Aero offers a more rounded appearance than the standard Windows theme. Unlike the Windows XP theme, arrow uses semi-translucent "glass" and you can customize those colors, rather than using the standard blue and orange theme. However, Windows does not offer a default way to really imitate Apple scroll bars or the Mac desktop experience.

Downloadable Themes
-
Windows Vista allows you to more easily download themes to your computer so that you can mimic the scroll bars of Apple computers. For example, Winxsoft provides transformation packs that change the appearance of Windows Vista, XP or 7 to that of the Mac desktop. As of December 2011, the company offers the Lion Transformation pack. This theme will change your icons, logon screen and dock options as well as the scroll bar for open windows. The Redmond Pie website offers similar theme packs to install to your computer.
Considerations
-
While themes may change scroll bars in some windows, such as when browsing folders with Explorer, not all programs may display the theme and scroll bars. For example, the Firefox browser may display normal Aero-themed scroll bars. However, you can download themes specifically for Firefox from the themes repository. Redmond Pie provides themes for both browsers, in addition to your operating system, for a more authentic Mac experience.
