Nero Live Crashes
Nero Live is one component of Nero 9, which is a digital media suite. This suite features a built-in quick media playback. It also rips, burns, copies and backs up computer media. Nero Live is a built-in feature that allows the user to view and record live television. Nero Live can be unstable, and causes crashes in nearly all Windows operating systems.

Installation
-
Due to installer issues, it takes Nero 9 a long time to install. This installation lag causes the operating system to act as though the installer program has stopped working. The operating system produces a pop-up error message several times during installation. This message stops the installation of Nero. Cancelling the error message continues the installation. Some of the installation errors include failing to register the Nero 9 applications with the operating system. It causes the launch feature of applications like Nero Live and Nero Sidebar Gadgets to crash.
Compatibility
-
Nero Live produces an error message “No TV tuner card can be found” even when a card is installed on the computer. The program does not recognize the installed video card because it is unable to read the computer settings and make changes to its own program. This issue crashes Nero Live, making it impossible to even run the program. One solution is to adjust the Nero 9 compatibility settings to “Run as Administrator,” which will unblock the program and allow it to make changes to the computer.

Running
-
Nero Live runs after a video card is recognized, but no picture or sound may indicate that the video card is incompatible. Nero Live is not programmed to use all video cards, and only a few are properly used. Usually the error message “Your tuner is currently blocked either due to a recording or a running pip window” appears, along with this problem. This message will show up when no other program or window is running. Nero Live crashes and will not run properly with the current video card.
Scanning
-
The main purpose of Nero Live is the ability to watch live TV on the computer. The basic function of scanning channels takes a long time. The results are hit and miss, since sometimes no channels appear to populate the channel list. This operation frequently freezes the Nero Live program and the Cancel or Back button does not work. The only way to escape this crash is to end Nero Live in the Task Manager.
