Thermal copiers are commonly used by tattoo artists to create stencils from hand drawn images, that are then transferred to a client's skin with ink. The stencil copy machine reassures the client will get the proper tattoo. There are two different kinds of thermal copiers, belt types and roller types. There are also thermal inkjet printers, which can print T-shirts, apparel, photos, documents and transparencies.
