How to Have Beautiful Eyes Without Makeup
If you’re concerned about how your eyes look, you’re probably used to investing in make-up on a regular basis. Make-up certainly helps eyes to look amazing when applied carefully, but there’s another way to achieve beautiful eyes, and that’s to forget make-up entirely. If you choose to lose the make-up, bear in mind that you’ll really have to look after your eyes to maintain a great look. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Wash Your Face Regularly
-
Set your eyes — and the rest of your face in general — for beauty by ensuring your skin is as clear and clean as possible. Washing your face a number of times a day, at least two or three, should help keep your skin clean and add to how your eyes are looking. If you do wear make-up on your eyes occasionally, for nights out for example, remove it properly and thoroughly clean your eyes afterward. Facial cleansers and similar products are your friends here. Cleaning your eyes regularly is important, but so is doing it gently so you don’t damage these delicate areas. Since your eyes and the surrounding skin are sensitive to abrasions, scrub with care to avoid the appearance of wrinkles or lines. Avoid rubbing at your eyes when stressed, too, as this can have the same effect.
Eyebrow Care
-
A lack of eye make-up means that your eyebrows will be more exposed than ever, so keep them in good condition. If your eyebrows are badly groomed, it’ll be especially noticeable, so make it a priority to keep them in top shape. Groom your eyebrows regularly and remove any stray hairs. Don’t over-pluck though, as this is bad in the long term. Poorly kept eyebrows detract from your eyes, but well-maintained eyebrows frame and enhance their natural beauty.
-
Plenty of Sleep
-
You’re dooming yourself to poor looking eyes if you’re running on empty sleep-wise. Having little rest each night soon takes its toll; you’ll end up with bags under your eyes, and your skin’s general complexion will suffer. If you’re not going to use make-up to disguise any skin problems due to lack of sleep, it’s especially important to get between seven and eight hours of rest a night so no sleep-related issues appear. If you do have circles around your eyes, get the required amount of sleep regularly and you’ll gradually remove these. If you’re in a hurry, ice-packs can do a short-term job; apply these to combat under-eye swelling.
Smoking and Drinking
-
Other potential causes of harm for your eyes are smoking and alcohol. While moderate amounts of both of these aren’t likely to do too much damage, persistent use of either can lead to fine lines and wrinkles. Also, cigarettes and alcohol can cause skin damage, which means your overall complexion will suffer.
