"Angry Birds," the popular video game, involves flinging birds at pigs. As an added element, the game designers included a variety of golden eggs for players to find. Each section of Angry Birds has a certain number of golden eggs, and each egg leads to a special extra level. Some eggs are visible; others are hidden.

At least 26 golden eggs are in "Angry Birds;" Rovio is able to add additional eggs with future updates. Not every level has an egg, but no levels have more than one. When you find a golden egg, it appears on the screen, graying out the game play for a few seconds. The golden eggs appear on a special section that is listed after the main levels on the selection screen.

Many of the golden eggs are hidden within specific levels, requiring you to find them and shoot them with a bird. Some eggs, like the one in level 13-12, are hidden behind the slingshot platform. Others require you to break a certain object to get the egg, such as the yellow balloon in level 6-14. A few eggs require an unexpected action, including tapping the treasure chest with your finger in level 1-18. Other eggs require you to obtain three stars on all of the levels in a section.

Most of the golden eggs in "Angry Birds" are hidden inside game levels, and you must get them by shooting a bird at the egg. Others, however, are awarded for other actions. When you allow the credits to run to the end, an egg appears. Another egg is revealed when you tap the sun that appears behind the level previews. If you pause play on any level and choose the "information" button, an egg appears after you click through all of the prompts.
