The VZAccess Manager application is a connection manager with an easy-to-use interface. VZAccess Manager is available to download and install from an installation CD that is included with some phones and mobile connection cards. Although the CD is one means of downloading the software on your computer, it is not the only option.

The VZAccess Manager application provides the software needed for Verizon customers who use the mobile connection cards or mobile phones to connect to the Internet on a computer. Settings needed to connect to the network are stored in the application. When you are ready to connect, it is as simple as clicking "Connect" within the application. If you have lost the CD or don't have access to one, you can still download the app to your computer.

VZAccess Manager is available to download directly from the Verizon Wireless website. In addition to downloading the application, the drivers for your phone or mobile connection card also will be installed. Before downloading the software, ensure your mobile phone or connection card is a supported device. If it is not, you most likely will not benefit from using the application. Verizon Wireless has an installation wizard available that can also help you determine if your phone is supported by the application.

Before downloading the VZAccess Manager, ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for using the software. Your computer must have at least Windows XP SP2 installed on it to use the application. You also need a processing speed of at least 300 MHz or higher. If you are using a Mac, OSX 10.4.11 or higher is required. An active Internet connection is also required to download and install the software on your computer.

Some users have experienced trouble when attempting to download VZAccess from the Verizon Wireless website. If you have trouble, try disabling your security software before attempting to download the application again. Your firewall and anti-virus protection can prevent your system from connecting to the site. If you are able to complete the download, you may need to add an exception for VZAccess Manager for future use.
