Why Do I Have to Reset Foxit Toolbars?
Foxit is the manufacturer of the Portable Document Format (PDF) reader Foxit Reader, along with other PDF readers, converters and mobile PDF applications. The programs include user-friendly interfaces and built-in help files to guide you through any challenges. Foxit applications also include a set of built-in toolbars that let you quickly select functions within the programs. The toolbars include a reset function that returns them to their original settings.

Reasons
-
Foxit’s toolbar reset option is helpful when you accidentally remove one or more commands from the toolbars and don’t know how to restore them, or if you want to return them to their factory default settings. The reset option is also helpful if you've customized the "Favorite" toolbar and no longer need the tools and commands you placed there. The Favorite toolbar lets you add tools like cut, copy and other commands for quick access without navigating the application’s menus.
Optional and Toolbars
-
Resetting the toolbars within your Foxit application is purely optional. You can leave them as-is, customize them to your liking or not use them at all. If you decide to not use the toolbars, you must navigate the menus and choose the commands you want to use. Each Foxit application contains the following toolbars: Basic, Favorite, File, Find, Navigation, Rotate and Zoom.

Resetting
-
You can reset your toolbars via the “View” menu. Click “View,” “Toolbars” and “Reset Toolbars” to return all toolbars within your Foxit application back to their factory settings. Keep in mind, however, that you cannot reset only one toolbar -- Foxit's reset process returns all toolbars back to their original factory settings. If you have one or more toolbars you don't want to reset, you may want to reconsider performing the "Reset Toolbars" process. The resetting occurs immediately and doesn’t require a restart of your Foxit application or your computer.
Keyboard Command
-
You can also press and hold the “Alt+F8” keys on your computer’s keyboard to reset toolbars within Foxit applications, including Foxit Reader. The keyboard command can prove helpful if you don't want to -- or can't -- navigate through the View menu. The toolbars also reset immediately when using the keyboard command and return to their original factory settings.
