Zpay Vs. Quickbooks
Although you may work hard to produce a product or service that customers are clamoring for, if you fail to properly manage your finances, your business is doomed to failure. Fortunately there are inexpensive, easy-to-use accounting software packages that can help you manage the flow of money from your customers, to your payroll, federal and state tax obligations, vendors and your bank. ZPAY and QuickBooks are two time-tested accounting packages for businesses that want to assert more control over their money.

In 1993, a Windows 3.1 version of ZPAY was released and the product was renamed PayWindow. You can purchase ZPAY PayWindow from the company's website or you can download a 30-day trial version for free. PayWindow runs under Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. A network version of the software is also available.

QuickBooks Overview
-
QuickBooks is a double-entry accounting software package for small business. QuickBooks was developed by Intuit, the makers of the personal finance application Quicken. Although QuickBooks is not as old as ZPAY, it is the dominant accounting software package in the USA. Intuit sells five versions of QuickBooks: Pro, Premier, Accountant, Enterprise and the Web-based QuickBooks Online. Each version is intended to meet the needs of small business owners, professional accountants and large companies with personnel and inventory in more than one physical location. QuickBooks runs on Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 and Mac OS X systems.
QuickBooks Features
-
Like PayWindow, QuickBooks helps you manage your customer, vendor and employee data and contact information. In addition, QuickBooks can help you with online banking transactions by converting your bank deposits and withdrawals into QuickBooks accounting transactions. You can create invoices, track sales and expenses, maintain and analyze tax records and produce reports. QuickBooks Online needs a Mac or Windows PC and a Web browser like Chrome, Internet Explorer 8 and recent versions of Firefox or Safari. Intuit also sells an app for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry smartphones that can access QuickBooks installed on your desktop computer.
