What Is Google Total?
Are you a savvy searcher or a bored browser? You can find out the answer to the amount of total Google searches you've done by checking out a little-known feature called Google Web History. There, Google compiles information about all of the searches you complete, from the things you check out the most to the Google total of searches performed within a certain period of time. Looking through your history could offer some insight into your habits and even teach you to save time using saved searches for common terms and items.

Your Google total refers to the number of searches you've completed during a specific period of time. By using your Google Web history, you can look through past searches to see how you've used Google lately. The Google total of searches appears directly on your profile, but you need a Google account to turn on and utilize the feature. Once your Google account is activated, you can start tracking your online search habits, allowing you to use the data in a number of ways.
Finding Your Total

If you want to know how the total Google searches you've performed during a period of time, you'll need to visit google.com/history. There, you'll sign in using your Google account and be given access to information including your latest searches, how many searches you run on a daily basis and common search terms that you use. Tour Google total appears to the right-side of the page, underneath the daily calendar of your usage. Your total gives you the number of searches you've completed since opening your account, but you can click on a specific day to see all searches performed with a 24-hour period.

Using the Info

While your Google total is certainly interesting and can even be shocking, it's purpose is for more than information's sake. By clicking the "Trends" link on the left-hand side of the page, you can view information concerning your online habits while viewing daily and monthly total queries. By checking through your top queries, you could create saved searches or bookmarks to help streamline your searching and save time.
Deleting Your Totals

Whether you want to start from scratch or you'd rather delete something out of your search history, you can get rid of your total by using the interface within Google history. Click on "Web History" within the interface and you'll be taken to a dashboard. There, you can use the links at the top of the page to delete all of your totals, or click the squares beside specific search terms to delete them singularly to start over again.
