My Hulu Crashes in Firefox
Hulu uses Flash to stream videos to your Firefox browser. If Firefox crashes when you load a new video or during playback, the problem could stem from either Hulu or Firefox. Verify you meet the basic requirements, upgrade if necessary, and test different aspects of your Firefox browser to find a solution.

Playback Errors
-
Streaming video on Hulu has two main problems. Either Firefox crashes immediately upon loading a new video, before playback begins, or your browser crashes during playback, either while the video is actively playing or buffering. In order for Hulu to stream content properly, you computer and browser must meet the minimum requirements. Incompatibility issues between your Firefox plugins and Hulu also leads to instability, which causes the browser to crash during video playback.
Requirements
-
Hulu is compatible with Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, Linux and Mac OS X v10.4, or higher versions of these operating systems. To stream videos through Hulu, you must have at least Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.32. You must also have at least version 2.0 of Firefox. If your computer does not meet the requirements, upgrade your Firefox and Flash player.

Compatibility
-
If you have the correct version of Firefox installed but Hulu still crashes, verify that you have cookies enabled and JavaScript installed. You can enable your cookies in Firefox under the "Tools" menu option. If you do not have JavaScript installed, the browser will prompt you to install it when you load a Hulu video. Plug-ins can also cause instability issues with Hulu. Testing each plug-in, either by temporarily disabling it or uninstalling the plug-in all together, can help you determine which plug-in is creating a problem with Hulu.
Other Considerations
-
Anti-virus software or anti-phishing programs can prevent Hulu from streaming video correctly, and may cause Firefox to crash entirely when you load the Hulu site. Some anti-virus programs may see Hulu as a potential threat, or prevent you from opening Hulu as a pop-up window or full-screen size. Temporarily disabling your anti-virus software corrected the problem, but will leave your computer unprotected from viruses or malware.
