Sharing Limits

Photo sharing is limited in Yahoo Messenger 9.0. If you and your friend are attempting to share more than the allotted limit of 300 photos, you will receive an error message. You can opt to either remove all of the pictures or selectively remove some of the pictures. If you want to remove all of the pictures, click “Yes” when prompted. If you want to pick which photos to remove, click “No” and select the pictures.

Although other aspects of Yahoo Messenger 9.0 may work, you might need to upgrade to the latest version to resolve a problem with sending pictures through the Photo Share feature. For all of the Yahoo Messenger features to work, your Web browser must be properly configured. Yahoo recommends the use of Internet Explorer to ensure the functionality of the application. Scroll down and click “Reset.” Uncheck all of the boxes except for the “Delete Personal Settings” and click “Reset.” Test photo sharing after the reset completes.

You can download the software for Yahoo Messenger from the website and reinstall it. Provide your Yahoo username and password to log in to your account after the installation completes. Attempt to share a photo with a contact to determine if the problem is resolved.
