Your Yahoo! Mail contacts can go missing in various ways and to various extents. If you only see a portion of your contacts, you might be able to view or restore them in a click or two. If you see no contacts at all, the problem may be due to a browser setting or an error in your blocking software, both of which you can fix. Yahoo! customer service can also be of assistance.
Viewing All Contacts
If you see only some of your Yahoo! Mail contacts in the sidebar on the left side of the screen, you may be viewing only a certain category, such as "Top Contacts" or a custom category you have created. By clicking the "All Contacts" tab near the top of the sidebar, you can view your entire address book in alphabetical order.
Restoring Deleted Contacts
If you have accidentally or intentionally deleted one or more of your contacts from Yahoo! Mail, they will not show up in the left sidebar under "All Contacts." However, they are not completely deleted from your account right away. Rather, they are stored in a separate tab labeled "Deleted Contacts" in the left sidebar. You can restore deleted contacts to your active contacts by selecting their adjacent check boxes and clicking the "Restore" button in the main window.
Contacts Restore Form
Yahoo! provides a "Yahoo! Contacts Restore Form" expressly for cases in which Yahoo! Mail contacts have gone missing in the previous 10 days. You can fill that form out with a full description of what you need and submit it to restore your contacts to an earlier time of your choosing. If your contacts exist on Yahoo! servers, your contacts will eventually reappear. You can find the form on the Yahoo! Customer Care page.
