No Anti-Alias When Stretching in Photoshop
Anti-aliasing is a process in Adobe Photoshop where images automatically have the jagged edges removed to featured a crisp and smooth picture. When creating new files or using the marquee tool, this process is automatically applied. If you are importing a photo, you have to take extra steps to apply the anti-alias when the process will not automatically work.

Importing Files
-
When you import a file, if a dialog box appears you can automatically set the anti-alias. This will apply to the photo for any rotations or stretches that you make. Select "RGB" as the color format. When you do this, a small box will appear in the lower left corner that reads "Anti-Alias." Check this box and your picture will automatically do that process so matter what changes you make to it.
Layer Changes
-
If the object is already a layer in your project, you can still make adjustments to set the anti-alias while stretching and avoid the jagged edges. Click on the layer once to highlight it. Go to "Image," "Mode" and select "RGB." Next go to "Image" and select "Image Size." Make an adjustment to the size and Photoshop will automatically apply the anti-alias feature to it. Go to "Edit," "Transform" and "Scale" to see how the anti-aliasing works.

Guassian Blur
-
If you want to keep your current color mode and still have anti-aliased edges, you can apply an effect to your image. Go to "Filter," "Blur" and select "Gaussian Blur." Apply just a right amount of pixels so the blur applies to the edges of the photo. Click "OK" to apply the effect. Now adjust the size of the image or layer to see that the layer retains the anti-aliasing.
Manual Anti-Alias
-
Another method is to manually apply a smudge effect to your image. This will create an artificial anti-alias that remains consistent through stretching and other adjustments. Click on the "Smudge" tool on the size menu. Gently smudge the edges of the object. Do not drag too far or it will distort your image. Zoom in closely on the image to see the edge and use the tool more detailed.
