How to Make a Coconut Macaroon in Viva Pinata
In order to entice a Sarsgorilla into becoming a garden resident in the game Viva Pinata Trouble In Paradise, you first need to feed it a coconut macaroon. The coconut macaroon is also one of the romance requirements for Camello, so in order to fully experience the game you need to get your hands on some. Unfortunately, these tasty treats cannot be grown or bought, but must instead be tinkered. Bart performs the tinkering, just as in the original game, but you now have access to his services at a lower level. Tinkering is the act of changing items into something else.

Reaching Level Seven

To create a coconut macaroon in Viva Pinata, your garden needs to be at least level seven. To start playing, simply highlight and select “Play A Garden” from the main menu. Here you can select either a new garden or existing garden. To increase your garden level, you will need to make pinatas residents, breed them and plant seeds for flowers or other plants. Once the garden reaches level seven, a short animation introduces Bart the Tinkerer.
Getting Palm Seeds

Bart requires a coconut to tinker a coconut macaroon. To get coconuts, you need a palm tree. Purchase palm seeds in the village, at Costolot’s general store. If the seeds are not available in the shop yet, speak to Seedos, the character wearing a backpack and glasses who randomly roams your garden. He drops a seed each time you speak to him, so continue to speak to him until you get a palm seed.

Harvesting Coconuts

Return to the garden and plant the palm seeds in sand. Use brown fertilizer on the tree three times once you see green buds appearing at the end of its branches in order to grow it to maturity. Wait until the coconuts on the palm tree drop or, if you are impatient, hit the tree with your shovel to make them drop. Once you have the coconuts, you can instruct Bart to tinker the coconut macaroon.
Bart the Tinkerer

Bart the Tinkerer can be found at the village, at “Bart’s Exchange.” Purchase a gold ticket if you want guaranteed success with the tinkering. This ticket cost more than the bronze and silver versions, but it guarantees success. Bart will ask you which item you want him to tinker. Highlight the coconut in your garden and confirm your choice. Wait for Bart to enter your garden and walk over to the coconut. He transforms the coconut into a coconut macaroon before leaving again.
