Belkin provides bags and sleeves for laptops with screen panels that measure 15.6 inches, 16 inches or 17 inches diagonally. Also available are bags and sleeves for netbooks, which are smaller and thinner versions of laptops; the only available size, as of the time of publication, is 10.2 inches. Timbuk2 does not specify laptop or netbook size. However, it has almost twice the number of bags, carrying cases or sleeves under its laptop category at the time of publication, offering 33 to Belkin's 18.

At the time of publication, Belkin offers three sleeves for tablet PCs. Called the Merge Sleeve, Transfer Sleeve and Transport Sleeve; all three are for 7-inch tablets. Timbuk2 offers seven tablet sleeves, all geared towards Apple's 10-inch iPad tablet. At the time of publication, each Belkin tablet sleeve has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $25, while Timbuk2 sleeves range between $30 and $49.

The device that the Belkin and Timbuk2 eReader bags are primarily geared towards is the Kindle, which is developed by the Lab126 subsidiary of e-commerce company Amazon.com. However, some Timbuk2 eReader bags, like the Envelope Sleeve, also accommodate the Nook from book retailer Barnes & Noble. At the time of publication, Belkin offers 13 eReader sleeves, while Timbuk2 offers 15.
