About Alliances

An alliance is a group of up to 100 players who join together for protection and social purposes. To join an alliance, you must first build an “Embassy” structure in your empire. Once your Embassy reaches level 2, you can create your own alliance and become the Host. Each alliance has five levels of membership including Member, Officer, Presbyter, Vice Host and Host. Most players in an alliance are Members since alliances only accommodate a specific number of officers.

Each alliance allows up to five Presbyters to hold office at one time. The Presbyter has the third-highest rank in an alliance, following Host and Vice Host. This officer helps manage the Members and Officers through promotion or removal. The Presbyter can promote a Member to an Officer or create another Presbyter from an Officer or Member. He can also remove players who ask for a resignation from the alliance.
Becoming a Presbyter

Because the Presbyter has a lot of control over existing members in an alliance, a player generally must prove to be trustworthy to the Host of the alliance before promotion. It’s likely that a player will be an Officer for a while before becoming a Presbyter. However, this varies, as each alliance has its own internal rules about promotion and individual responsibilities. Only the Host, Vice Host or another Presbyter can promote a player to the rank of Presbyter.
