What Is the Java Jucheck.exe?
In order for Java to connect to the online server to search for and install updates, it must run a process in the task manager. Jucheck.exe is the Windows process Java uses to search for updates. The process runs in the background and only notifies you when an update is made available.

This pop-up is a security measure to ensure you're authorizing the operating system to perform an administrative task. If you prefer to install the update later, download the newer version directly from Java's website or using the Java Control Panel found in the Control Panel.

If you don't want jucheck.exe to run automatically, disabling the automatic updates feature shuts down the Java process. When you open the Java Control Panel from the Control Panel, the "Update" tab allows you to configure your automatic update settings. If you don't want to use the automatic updates feature, clearing the "Check for Updates Automatically" check-box automatically disables Java updates. Once disabled, jucheck.exe won't run.
