Although Google Chrome is considered to be a reliable Web browser, some Chrome users may experience problems with properly loading specific websites. Yahoo Mail users who use Google Chrome to view their email accounts have reported issues when attempting to access specific emails or even compose mail. By knowing the common Google Chrome and Yahoo Mail problems, you are better equipped to find a solution to the issue that you are experiencing.
One of the most common problems that Google Chrome users experience when accessing Yahoo Mail through the browser is slowness. The slowness primarily occurs when the user is browsing their inbox or attempting to retrieve an email. In some cases, the browser may freeze when Yahoo Mail is open. Chrome users typically experience slowness issues with Yahoo Mail because of the current Yahoo Mail design, which is more resource intensive than the classic Yahoo Mail design.
No Message Field
Although a less common problem, Yahoo Mail users who use Google Chrome may occasionally experience issues with composing a new message. Users in this case are able to type in the address for the recipient as well as the subject for the message, but they cannot type anything into the message field. Resolving this issue can usually be accomplished by updating Google Chrome to the latest version of the browser or using the classic version of Yahoo Mail instead.
Failure to Load
Some Chrome users accessing their Yahoo Mail may find that certain features do not load at all. Features that may not load at all in Chrome include the ability to search the inbox for specific messages, the ability to compose messages and the ability to open certain messages, particularly those with attachments. Chrome users may be able to resolve these issues by either updating Chrome or by clearing the Browsing data by clicking the “Google Chrome” options menu and then clicking “Under the Hood” and then “Clear browsing data…”
Adobe Flash-based advertisements, which are usually in the form of videos, animated ads, or interactive ads, are found on nearly every page in Yahoo Mail. Although Chrome typically handles Flash well, some users may experience issues with Chrome not functioning correctly when loading Yahoo Mail pages that feature Flash. Chrome users who experience this issue with Yahoo Mail may find that updating Adobe Flash to the most recent version fixes the problem. Alternatively, updating Chrome itself may resolve the issue.
