Can I Paste an Image in My iPhone Email Signature?

Your iPhone signature appears at the bottom of all email messages sent from your iPhone. You can edit the information or text that appears in this signature through the iPhone's main Settings menu. The iPhone only allows you to use text for the signature of your email messages, so you aren't able to paste an image into your iPhone's email signature. However, you can also purchase an application from the APP Store that allows you to import a picture into your iPhone's email messages.

Accessing Signature Information

  • To access the email signature information on your iPhone, tap the "Settings" icon located on the home screen of your device. Scroll down and select the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" option. Scroll down below your email account information and tap the "Signature" button. The information displayed in the proceeding Signature bubble is the signature that will appear below your outgoing email messages on your iPhone.

Deleting Signature

  • The signature is an optional field on your outgoing email messages. Therefore, you can choose to delete your iPhone's signature by tapping the "Clear" button from the Signature bubble. By default the signature message displayed on your outgoing iPhone email messages is "Sent from my iPhone!" This signature identifies the email as originating from your mobile device. If you don't want email recipients to know that the message came from your iPhone, you should delete or change this default signature message.

Changing Signature

  • To change the Signature message, tap the "Clear" button from the Signature bubble. After clearing the message, you can change the signature by inputting text using the virtual keypad that appears below the Signature bubble. You can input text, numbers and symbols from the virtual keypad. You can't, however, insert a picture image into this signature field.

Includes Signature Information

  • Although you can choose to input any text into the signature field, useful signature information includes your contact information. For example, you could change your iPhone's signature message to display your name, address and phone number. Alternatively, you could include your business information, including the company name and your job title. Remember that any information used in the signature will appear on all of your iPhone's outgoing email messages.

Email Signature Pro

  • Email Signature Pro is an application available from Apple's App Store that allows you to customize your iPhone's email signature. This signature customization allows you to import a picture into your signature. After installing the paid application, tap the "Edit Signature" button. Tap the "Image" link within the signature and select a picture from your iPhone's photos library. The picture automatically appears in your iPhone email signatures. Although this application doesn't allow you to paste an image into your iPhone email signatures, Email Signature Pro does allow you to create a customized signature for your emails that contains a picture.
