Can You Attach Pictures With YouTube Mail?
Online video depository YouTube includes a private messaging interface that allows you to engage in direct communication with other YouTube users. It isn't possible to attach a picture to a YouTube message as of October 2011, although you can attach one of your videos, which inserts a thumbnail image to represent the video into the message.

Send YouTube Messages
-
Two means of sending YouTube messages exist. If you're watching someone's video and want to send him a YouTube message, click his username to be taken to his channel page, and then click the "Send Message" button. Alternatively, click the "Inbox" link from the menu that appears when you click your own username in the upper right corner of the YouTube screen. Then click "Create New Message" and input the YouTube username of the person to whom you want to send the message.
Attaching Videos
-
YouTube allows you to attach any one of your YouTube videos to a message, which you select from a drop-down menu that appears at the bottom of the Compose interface. Although it isn't possible to attach a picture to the YouTube message, YouTube displays a thumbnail screen capture of the video to the message, which provides the recipient with a preview of what she sees when she opens the video in her Web browser.

Links in YouTube Mail
-
One way to direct a YouTube user to an image you have hosted on the Internet is to paste a hyperlink to the image within the YouTube message. Although it isn't possible to use HTML within YouTube messages, which would permit you to embed the image within the message itself, sending the URL of the image permits the recipient to view the image simply by pasting the URL into his Web browser.
Messages vs. Comments
-
YouTube messages are intended for private communication, so if you're sending something you want others to be able to see, regardless of whether you attach a video or include a link to a picture, post it as a comment to a specific video or to the user's channel page. If you want to attach a video to a comment, click the "Reply With Video" button below the video to which you want to respond.
