One of the essential features of QuickBooks POS is the ability to accept credit and debit cards. To use this component of the program, you need a card reader and a debit keypad if you want to accept debit cards. When you make a sale, simply swipe the card through the card reader. If the customer is paying with a debit card, have the customer enter the PIN number into the keypad; you then enter the authorization code from the back of the card to process the transaction.
