The Difference Between a MySpace Layout and Background, and How to Change Them

The social networking site Myspace gives users the option of customizing their profile layout by taking advantage of their profile's module tool.   1. The Myspace Layout

    • The Myspace layout refers to the order and organization of the modules and sections of your profile. While there are no preset layouts you can switch to other than the default layout, you can customize its appearance by adding and deleting modules.

    The Myspace Background

    • The Myspace background refers to the picture behind your Myspace profile. The background is connected to the Myspace theme, which includes the font family and font size. The background cannot be changed without changing the theme.

    Changing the Layout

    • Sign in to your Myspace profile and click on "Profile." Click on "Edit Profile," and then click on "Customize." Click on "Modules and Marquee." Click on the module(s) you want to remove, and then click "Remove." If you want to add a module, click on "Add." Once you've added the desired modules, click on the header for each module and drag it to the desired location.

    Changing the Background

    • Sign in to your profile and click on "Customize," and then click on "Look and Feel." Select the theme and background you want to use for your profile, and then click on "Publish" to save the changes.
