Tips on How to Change a Garden Name in "Viva Pinata"
Having a garden with a name that reflects what its purpose is, will make your life easier in the Xbox 360 and PC strategy title, "Vival Pinata." When you start your garden, the game automatically adds your name (based on your gamertag) along with the word “garden,” but you are able to change it. This is highly recommended as you can play with multiple gardens and transfer your pinatas between them, so sticking to the default naming convention will only cause confusion.
-
Change the Name Based on Terrain
-
Since "Viva Pinata" allows you to change the terrain type of your gardens, you can change your garden names based on this feature. Having an "Aqua Garden," for example, would signify that the entire garden has been dug up and filled with water. "Grasslands Garden" is the ideal moniker for a garden that has been planted with grass. This naming convention is useful if you want to know which garden to play after you discover what type of terrain attracts which pinatas.
Change the Name Based on Function
-
"Viva Pinata" allows you to carry over your level and money earned when you change gardens which means you can have different gardens for different functions. Calling a garden the "Breeding Garden" will make it clear that the purpose of this garden is to breed creatures. Naming one the "Mining Garden" will prevent you from accidentally sending creatures there, as you'll know it is only filled with mines and workers. Having a garden called the "Trading Garden" is useful for sending creatures you plan on swapping with friends.

Change the Name Based on Creature Type
-
Some pinata do not get along with others, which may cause a lot of unwanted chaos in your gardens. Creating a new garden and giving it a name indicating what type of pinata resides in it, will allow you to always know where to send creatures when you have an excess of them in your main garden. The "sour" pinatas that wander in and break things in your garden can also be tamed, but it takes time and can be costly if they break things in your primary garden. Having a garden named the "Sour Garden" will allow you to lure them in and tame them before sending them to another garden.
Change the Name Based on Flora Type
-
Besides the creatures residing in your garden, you are also in control of the plants and trees. Some of these plants are harmful to certain pinatas, but if you want to achieve 100 percent completion you will still want to cultivate them. Change your garden name based on the type of vegetation is present to avoid sending a valuable pinata into a garden filled with dangerous weeds, for example. Since time stands still in all of the gardens, except the one you are busy with, you can have a "Flower Garden," "Tree Garden" and "Weed Garden" in order to swap between them and water the plants as necessary.
