How to Date Your Husband Without Going Anywhere
Today many couples are opting to skip date night out on the town and stay home enjoying each other’s company. Because of the economy, couples are staying home for date night as a way to save money. Just because you and your husband choose to stay home does not mean you have to sacrifice the feelings experienced while dating. Show your husband the night of his life by going on a date without leaving the house.

Night Under the Stars
-
The backyard can offer a location for your date without making you feel like you are cooped up in the home. Eat dinner under the stars by candlelight and then cuddle up under a blanket to watch the stars. If possible, set a campfire up in the backyard and make s’mores together. Other activities the two of you can do under the stars include listening to music, talking about future plans or planning a dream vacation together.
Dinner for Two
-
A night at home with a romantic dinner for two, made by the two of you, will give you a chance to be creative and make a gourmet meal. Together the two of you will spend time cooking dinner while sipping on some wine and sharing samplings of dinner as it is being cooked. You can have your husband chop onions, peppers, meats and other vegetables while you simmer and stir dinner on the stove. Instead of serving dinner at the dining room table, take it to the bedroom where the two of you can enjoy a friendly board game or watch a movie.

Setting the Mood
-
Your home should be the perfect place to have a romantic date and its success depends upon setting the right mood. Candlelight is one way to set the mood for your evening date with your husband and should be placed in every room the two of you plan to spend time in. For example, set candles up in the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, on the back patio and in the bedroom. Play some soft instrumental music that can be heard throughout the house during your date.
Home Project
-
Every home needs some work and though it may not feel like a date, it can give the two of you a sense of accomplishment while spending time together. Turn a home project into a date by adding some chocolate-covered strawberries with champagne for a snack. Home projects that can be done together include installing a garden in the backyard or painting a room. When the work is completed take a romantic bath for two, complete with chocolates and champagne. Fill the tub with bubbles and rose petals and fill the bathroom with candles.
