How to Entertain at a Bridal Shower
Throw a bridal shower that the bride's friends and family will be talking about for weeks or months to come by providing memorable entertainment for your guests. Whether you choose to hire entertainment or come up with bridal-themed games and crafts for guests to enjoy, there are plenty of options that ensure your bridal shower is entertaining, beyond just eating cake and unwrapping presents. If you put some effort into the planning, your guests will be in for a treat. Does this Spark an idea?

Paid Entertainment
-
Hire entertainment to perform at your bridal shower. Think about what your guests would most like to see and go from there. Ideas can include live music, a magician, murder mystery dinner theater, a comedian, an astrologer/fortune teller or psychic. Hire a professional chef for a cooking demonstration, or a dance instructor for a mini dance class. Other ideas include hiring professional makeup artists or manicurists to turn your bridal shower into a day of beauty; masseuses are another option.
Games
-
Pick one or more games to play at your bridal shower. Printable games are one option, such as bridal shower word scrambles or bridal shower bingo; make up your own versions of these games or look for games on wedding and bridal shower websites. Classic games such as "Pin the Tail on the Donkey," charades and "Simon Says" can be redone with a bridal shower twist, such as "Pin the Veil on the Bride."

Crafts
-
Crafts are another way of entertaining your bridal shower guests, and they double as favors to take home. Ideas include making champagne flute gel candles, button or jewelry bouquets, potpourri sachets and edible crafts, such as decorating cupcakes in the colors the bride has chosen for her wedding party. Other ideas include decorating clean paper Chinese takeout containers with rubber stamps, constructing towel cakes or making dishcloth angels. Another option is to make crafts to use in the wedding, such as personalized place cards or centerpieces.
Contests
-
Contests may be utilized to entertain bridal shower guests, such as instructing guests to wear the worst bridesmaid dresses they can find. The bride can choose the winner and award a prize, such as a gift certificate to a restaurant or spa. Other contest ideas include dividing guests into teams of three or four and designating one guest the "model" and the other guests the "stylists." Guests can be given an assortment of unattractive clothing and makeup; the team with the "best" model wins.
